RCB vs GT: The Royal Challengers Bangalore team emerged victorious, winning the IPL title for the second consecutive time. They defeated the Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets in the final match. At one point, it seemed as though the Gujarat Titans would easily clinch the victory. However, the composed batting of RCB’s veteran player, Virat Kohli, thwarted GT’s plans.
As soon as RCB won the IPL title, the joy of the spectators present at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad knew no bounds. While some applauded, many spectators celebrated by setting off fireworks and crackers. Batting first, the Gujarat Titans had posted a total of 155 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. In reply, RCB chased down the target, scoring 161 runs for the loss of five wickets in 18 overs to win the match.

Kohli Seals Victory with a Six
Once again, Virat Kohli emerged as the hero of the victory for RCB. Kohli remained unbeaten, scoring 75 runs off 42 balls, studded with nine fours and three sixes. Kohli stayed at the crease until the very end and secured the win for his team by hitting a six. While chasing the target, Venkatesh Iyer opened the innings for RCB alongside Kohli.
Venkatesh had come out to bat as an ‘Impact Player.’ Both batsmen started playing aggressively and put pressure on the Gujarat bowlers. A half-century partnership blossomed between Venkatesh and Kohli, but Mohammed Siraj broke this stand in the fifth over by dismissing Venkatesh.
Venkatesh was dismissed after scoring 32 runs off 16 balls. Subsequently, RCB lost the wickets of Devdutt Padikkal (1), Captain Rajat Patidar (15), and Krunal Pandya (1). RCB had lost four wickets with the score at 91, and it appeared that Gujarat could potentially turn the match around from that point; however, Kohli stood firm at the crease and countered the Gujarat bowlers with exceptional skill.
RCB Becomes the Fourth Successful Team in the IPL
Royal Challengers Bangalore has joined the list of the four most successful teams in the IPL. The record for winning the most titles in the IPL is held by CSK and the Mumbai Indians.
