IPL FINAL PLAYING 11: The title clash of IPL 2026 is scheduled to be played today, with the eyes of the world fixed upon it. This battle for the championship is set to take place between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Whichever team emerges victorious in this match will claim the title for the second time.
Currently, both RCB and Gujarat Titans have won the IPL title once each. Moreover, the performance of both the RCB and GT squads throughout the season has been quite spectacular. After completing their respective 14 matches in the league stage, both RCB and Gujarat had 18 points each to their name, having won nine matches apiece. RCB managed to edge ahead based on Net Run Rate, thereby securing the top spot on the points table.

Which Player Might Get an Opportunity?
Both Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans are unlikely to want to make any changes to their squads for this battle. Phil Salt is available for selection after recovering from an injury; however, in his absence, Venkatesh Iyer has performed commendably. Consequently, this situation poses a slight dilemma for RCB regarding the selection of their Playing XI for the final match.
Meanwhile, apart from this specific instance, the team is unlikely to make any other changes to its winning combination. The bat of wicketkeeper and team vice-captain Jitesh Sharma has remained largely silent throughout the season. Given this scenario, there is a strong possibility that Salt could be included in the team in place of Jitesh.
Gujarat Confident
The Gujarat Titans squad, too, will throw everything they have into securing a victory. The team’s middle order has been a relative weakness, and the squad—led by Shubman Gill—will be keen to take steps to strengthen this department. However, Tewatia showed signs of returning to form by smashing a half-century in Dharamshala, which came as a welcome piece of relief for the team during that particular match. RCB’s Probable Playing XI
Virat Kohli, Venkatesh Iyer, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar (Captain), Krunal Pandya, Tim David, Jitesh Sharma/Phil Salt (Wicketkeeper), Romario Shepherd, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, Rasikh Salam.
Gujarat’s Probable Playing XI
Shubman Gill (Captain), Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler (Wicketkeeper), Washington Sundar, Nishant Sindhu, Jason Holder, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj.
