Another memorable day for Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Whenever the young man finds his rhythm, it is guaranteed to see some records breaking. This century, typical of his batting style, was explosive, hitting more sixes than fours.

By scoring a century against the South African Under-19 team, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has created excitement among Indian fans ahead of the Under-19 World Cup. Suryavanshi reached his century against South Africa off 63 balls, hitting eight sixes and six fours. His innings totaled 127 runs, including 10 sixes and nine fours. This was his third century in his Under-19 ODI career. He previously scored two centuries against England and the UAE Under-19 team.

The South Africa tour wasn’t just special for Vaibhav Suryavanshi because of his captaincy. It was also his first tour to South Africa. The bold manner in which Vaibhav Suryavanshi concluded his South Africa tour, just before the U19 ODI World Cup, is commendable. In the three Under-19 ODIs he played on this tour, he scored 206 runs, including a century and a half-century. His batting average during this period was 103.

The Under-19 One Day World Cup is set to begin on January 15th, and will be held in countries like Zimbabwe and Namibia, adjacent to South Africa . This means the conditions will be similar to those in South Africa. Vaibhav’s impressive performance in South Africa has raised hopes among Indian cricket fans for victory in the Under-19 World Cup. Speaking of Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Under-19 ODI career, he is just 27 runs shy of reaching 1000 runs.

In 18 Under-18 matches played so far, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has scored 973 runs at an average of over 57, with three centuries.
