Ladki Bahin Yojana: To promote women’s empowerment, many state governments across the country are implementing various schemes for women in their respective states. The Maharashtra government’s Chief Minister’s Ladki Bahin Yojana was launched to empower women economically. Under this scheme, women are given Rs 1,500 per month. Millions of women in the state have benefited from this scheme.
But recently, the government announced that it would provide Rs 3,000 instead of Rs 1,500 under the scheme. This money was actually for the previous pending installment and this month’s installment, meaning two months’ worth of installments. But when the installment arrived, only Rs 1,500 was received. Now, many women are wondering why they didn’t receive Rs 3,000? Where did the installment money get stuck? Let us tell you the full details.

This week, the Maharashtra government released the 17th installment for the month of November under the Ladki Behen Yojana. However, this has raised a pressing question among women: when will they receive the 18th installment, or the December installment. At the start of the new year, there was hope that 3,000 rupees would be deposited directly into their accounts, making it easier to meet household expenses, children’s needs, and essential items.
But when the bank message arrived, only 1,500 rupees were transferred to many women’s accounts. This is why discussions are raging from village to city about when they will receive the remaining 1,500 rupees, whether the government will issue a separate installment, and why they haven’t received the full amount.

Where is the money stuck?
The government clarified that the November installment was released this week. However, the December installment is still pending. According to officials, the matter is directly related to clearance from the Finance Department. Currently, the state is under the Model Code of Conduct, making it extremely difficult to get the new installment approved before January 15th.
A senior official explained that the release of funds may be halted until the election process is complete. This means that women may have to wait a little longer for the remaining funds. Preparations are underway at the government level, but a final decision will be made only after the elections are over. This is why only Rs 1,500 has arrived so far, while the remaining amount is pending.
