A milestone moment for Mustafizur Rahman

In this, the captaincy was given to Litton Das and as expected, Mustafizur Rahman also made a place. Mustafizur Rahman will lead his team’s pace unit in the T20 World Cup. Now Mustafizur has proved himself to be the ‘twenty-one’ of this game by creating a new record in T20 cricket.

Mustafizur Rahman, a specialist in the death overs in T20 cricket, has now become the fastest bowler to reach 400 wickets in T20 cricket. He now has 400 wickets in 315 T20 matches. Mustafizur has surpassed Pakistani fast bowler Wahab Riaz, who had 400 wickets in 335 T20 matches. Rashid Khan of Afghanistan tops the list of fastest bowlers to reach 400 wickets. Rashid achieved this feat in just 289 matches.

Upon achieving this record, Mustafizur tweeted on ‘X’, “Alhamdulillah, another milestone. 400 wickets in T20 and a solid win against Sylhet Titans. Always grateful to perform. Thank you for everyone’s love and support.”

Playing for Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), he took 3 wickets for 24 runs in 4 overs and proved to be the hero of his team’s victory. Mustafizur became the second-fastest bowler to reach 400 wickets in T20 cricket.

30-year-old Bangladeshi left-arm pacerΒ  holds the record for bowling the most dot balls in international T20 cricket. He has bowled over 1,100 dot balls. Mustafizur has 158 wickets in 126 international T20 matches at an economy rate of 7.20. He has 65 wickets in 60 IPL matches at an economy rate of 8.13.
