The final match of the three-match ODI series between India and New Zealand will be played on January 18th at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. In this match, Team India’s experienced and legendary opening batsman Rohit Sharma will have a chance to create history. He could become the player with the most sixes against New Zealand in ODI cricket, surpassing former Pakistani batsman Shahid Afridi.

If Rohit is successful in hitting two or more sixes in the third ODI match, he will become the world’s number one batsman to hit the most sixes in ODIs against New Zealand. Chris Gayle is at number three in this list, he had hit 45 sixes in 30 matches.

Rohit scored 26 runs in the first ODI of the series, while he scored 24 runs in the second. Rohit got good starts in both matches, but he failed to convert them into big scores. Rohit is the batsman with the most sixes in ODI cricket history, having hit 357 sixes. Therefore, a big innings will be expected from this experienced player in the final and crucial ODI.
The third ODI between India and New Zealand will be played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Rohit Sharma’s record at this venue has been impressive. He has played five ODIs at this venue so far, scoring 205 runs at an average of 41 and a strike rate of 110.21. His bat has performed well in his last two matches, scoring 71 and 101. He scored his century at this ground against New Zealand in 2023.
