The Big Bash League 2026 is seeing one exciting match after another. On Friday, the Sydney Sixers won against the Sydney Thunder. However, during this match, Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam, who is part of the Sydney Sixers, was seen becoming angry. In anger, Babar lost his temper and did something, the video of which is rapidly going viral on social media.

Babar Azam currently represents the Sydney Sixers in the BBL. In Friday’s match against the Sydney Thunder, Babar Azam was seen batting slowly, scoring 47 runs off 39 balls. In the 11th over, he played three consecutive dot balls against off-spinner Chris Green. On the last ball of the over, he played a shot towards long-on and wanted a single, but Steve Smith refused, which made Babar look unhappy.
Steve Smith hit back-to-back sixes off the first four balls of the next over. He then hit a four off the fifth ball. Bowler Ryan Hadlee also conceded two extra runs in the over, resulting in 32 runs, making it the most expensive over in Big Bash history.

Babar Azam returned to strike on the first ball of the 13th over. Trying to play a big shot off Nathan McAndrews, he was bowled by a very angry batsman. He slammed his bat against the boundary rope, a video of which is going viral on social media.

Batting first, the Sydney Thunder posted 189 runs for the loss of 6 wickets, with David Warner’s century playing a key role. Chasing a target of 190, the Sydney Sixers easily achieved the target, with Steve Smith’s century playing a key role. The Sixers got off to a good start in this match, as Steve Smith and Babar Azam shared a 141-run opening partnership.
