Oppo Reno 16 & Reno 16 Pro India Launch: If you are an Oppo user, there is good news for you. OPPO is gearing up to launch the Reno 16 series in India this July. The Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro smartphones were recently unveiled in the Chinese market. Meanwhile, key specifications and official-looking renders of the global variants have surfaced.
It is speculated that both phones may be launched globally alongside a new Reno 16 FS model. Last month, Oppo released the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro in the Chinese market. Around the same time, global versions of these devices were spotted on various certification platforms across different countries.
OPPO Reno 16 Pro Specs and Design Renders
The Reno 16 Pro smartphone is expected to feature a 6.32-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and a compact design. In contrast, the Reno 16 Pro launched in China features a larger 6.78-inch display.
This device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The phone’s camera setup is expected to include a 200MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies, it features a 50MP front-facing camera.
According to leaked reports, this phone may be equipped with a large 6,700mAh battery supported by 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.
OPPO Reno 16: What to Expect
The standard Reno 16 5G is expected to retain most of the design elements and camera hardware found in the Pro model. It is also expected to feature the same 6.32-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. Its refresh rate will be 120Hz instead of 144Hz. This device will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. For power backup, it will house a 6,000mAh battery with 80W charging support.
For photography, the phone will feature a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto shooter with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. It is also expected to include a 50MP selfie camera. The Reno 16 is further expected to feature an aluminium frame, an IP69 rating, stereo speakers, and NFC support.
It is worth noting that Oppo has not officially announced the phone’s launch date.
