: The Meteorological Department has once again issued an alert regarding rain and thunderstorms across most states of the country. According to the IMD, an alert for thunderstorms and rain remains in effect for 19 states—including UP and Bihar—on May 30. As per the latest bulletin from the Meteorological Department, the heatwave conditions have subsided across most parts of Northwest India.

Starting tomorrow, a decline in maximum temperatures is expected across most parts of Central India. As for Delhi-NCR, residents have found relief from the heat today. The weather in Delhi has taken a turn following the light rainfall received over the past few days.

The Meteorological Department forecasts heavy rainfall in Northeast India and the Southern Peninsular region between June 1 and June 4. Additionally, there is a possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds in Northwest India, Central India, and East India from May 29 to May 31. According to the Meteorological Department, a warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms has been issued for Delhi on May 31. On May 30, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is likely to be 26 degrees Celsius. Consequently, residents of Delhi can look forward to some relief from the heat over the next two days.


An alert for rain and thunderstorms has been issued for Uttar Pradesh on May 30. According to the Meteorological Centre in Lucknow, an alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for several districts, including Meerut, Noida, Ghaziabad, Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Bareilly, Kanpur, Sitapur, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Firozabad, and Sonbhadra. The Meteorological Department further states that strong winds, gusting at 80 to 85 kilometres per hour, are also expected to sweep across these districts in UP. On May 30, the maximum temperature in Lucknow is projected to reach 34 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius.


Warnings for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms have been issued for several districts, including West Champaran, East Champaran, Bhojpur, Gopalganj, Gaya, Siwan, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Nawada, Purnia, Katihar, and Araria. During this period, gusty winds at 70 to 80 kilometres per hour may prevail. In Patna, the maximum temperature recorded yesterday—May 30—was 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 27 degrees Celsius.

Rajasthan Weather
An alert regarding thunderstorms and rainfall has been issued for Rajasthan for May 30. Warnings for rain and thunderstorms have been issued for the districts of Kota, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, and Jhalawar in Rajasthan. During this time, strong winds with speeds of 60 to 65 kilometres per hour are expected.

Weather in Uttarakhand and Himachal?
For May 30, an alert has been issued for Himachal Pradesh regarding thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds. Warnings for rainfall have also been issued for several districts in Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Centre, warnings for heavy rain and thunderstorms have been issued for Chamoli, Dehradun, Haridwar, Uttarkashi, and Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, alerts for rain and thunderstorms have been issued for Kullu, Shimla, Mandi, Solan, Kangra, Una, and Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh.

 

Weather in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places across Arunachal Pradesh between June 1 and June 4. Additionally, Assam and Meghalaya may witness intense rainfall at isolated locations between June 2 and June 4.
