Iran-US Tensions: Conflict has erupted once again in the Middle East, with Iran launching attacks in retaliation for US actions. These Iranian strikes have heightened tensions in the region. Furious over US actions, Iran is targeting American military installations with airstrikes.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed to have targeted several key sites linked to the US military in Kuwait and Bahrain. Additionally, Iran has announced the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz and warned all vessels to stay away from the area.

Attacks on Bases in Kuwait and Bahrain
A statement issued by the IRGC revealed that, as part of its retaliatory military action, a total of 18 critical US military installations were targeted. These included the Ali Al-Salem and Ahmed Al-Jaber airbases in Kuwait and the Sheikh Isa airbase in Bahrain. According to the Iranian military, this operation was carried out in response to US attacks conducted within Iranian territory.
US Strikes for the Second Consecutive Day
US Central Command (CENTCOM) carried out airstrikes on multiple locations inside Iran for the second day in a row. The US has described these strikes as “actions taken in self-defence.” According to Iranian media, sounds of explosions were heard in the country’s southern regions and in western Tehran during the attacks. Air defence systems were also activated in several areas.
Closure of the Strait of Hormuz
Enraged by the US strikes, Iran is in no mood for peace. Iran’s top military leadership has announced the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz. This waterway is considered one of the world’s most vital maritime oil routes, through which a significant portion of the global oil supply passes. Iran has warned all ships to steer clear of the region.

Major General Majid Mousavi, commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, has reacted strongly to US actions. According to a report by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, he stated that if the US attempts to make the Strait of Hormuz unsafe, Iran will turn the entire region into hell for them. Mousavi said, “Are you making the sacred Strait of Hormuz unsafe? We will turn this region into hell for you.” He further added, “A response will certainly be given to this audacious action by the Americans in the region.”
