Pm kisan yojana: Farmers enrolled in the PM KISAN SAMMAN NIDHI YOJANA are now awaiting the next instalment. The central government may release the next instalment in the first week of July, which would be welcome news. More than 9 crore farmers stand to benefit from this in instalments
However, not all farmers will receive this benefit; it is important to know which farmers are ineligible. While the government has not yet officially announced the release date, media reports suggest it will happen in the first week of July.
How many instalments are received annually?
Under the central government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, farmers receive ₹6,000 annually. This amount is disbursed in instalments, with ₹2,000 provided per instalment. A total of three instalments are released throughout the year. The financial year begins on April 1st, and the first instalment is released within four months of the start of the financial year. If you have not completed the necessary documentation, you will not receive the instalment. KYC is mandatory
Farmers who fail to complete the e-KYC process will face difficulties; essentially, the instalment payment will be stalled. According to government guidelines, you can complete your e-KYC online via the PM Kisan portal using an OTP, or visit a nearby Common Service Centre for biometric e-KYC. Additionally, linking your bank account with your Aadhaar card is essential to receive the instalment; if the Aadhaar number is not linked to your bank account, the payment could be held up.
How to complete e-KYC
First, visit the official PM Kisan Samman Nidhi website: pmkisan.gov.in.
Then, click on “e-KYC”.
Next, enter your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number.
Finally, submit the details after verifying via OTP.
Which farmers will not receive the money?
According to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, a husband and wife cannot both avail the benefits of the scheme. If anyone does so, the government will deem the claim fraudulent and recover the amount. Additionally, the benefits of the scheme will not be available if any member of the farmer’s family pays taxes.
