JEE Advanced 2026: IIT Roorkee has announced the registration process and exam schedule. This year, the exam will be conducted by IIT Roorkee. IIT Roorkee has released the full schedule for the exam. The application process for this exam will begin on April 6th. Applications based on JEE Main will begin on April 23rd, while the application process for Indian students will begin on April 23rd, 2026. Interested candidates can apply through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in, until May 2nd, 2026.
When will the exam be held?
JEE Advanced admit cards will be available for download between May 11th and May 17th, 2026. Candidates can obtain their admit cards from the official website during this period. The exam will be held on May 17th, 2026, and will be conducted in two separate shifts. The first paper will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second paper will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
Top 2.5 Rankers Will Be Able to Apply
Students who secure the top 2.5 lakh ranks in the JEE Main exam will be eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced exam. Candidates with ranks above this will not be eligible to apply.
Application Fee
The application fee for Indian candidates is ₹3,200. SC, ST, PWD, and female candidates from all categories will have to pay ₹1,600. OCI/PIO (I) candidates from the OPEN (GEN) category will have to pay ₹3,200, and OPEN (GEN-PwD) and female candidates (GEN and GEN-PwD) will have to pay ₹1,600.
Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO (F) candidates from non-SAARC countries will have to deposit USD 200, and those residing in SAARC countries will have to deposit USD 100.

Candidates must be appearing for Class 12 or equivalent for the first time in 2025 or 2026. Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. However, candidates who have previously been admitted to any Indian Institute of Technology will not be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
