UGC NET Exam 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the UGC NET June 2026 exam between June 22 and June 30, 2026. With very little time remaining before the exam, candidates are awaiting details regarding the exam city and their admit cards. Once the city intimation slip is released, it can be downloaded from the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The city slip will inform candidates of the city where their exam centre is located; however, detailed information about the specific centre will be provided only upon the release of the admit card. It is expected that the exam city slip will be made available for download on June 12 or 13, while the admit card is likely to be released three days prior to the exam.
When will the UGC NET Exam be held?
The UGC NET June 2026 exam is scheduled for June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, and 30, 2026. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: the first from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The city slip may be released 8–10 days before the exam, which could mean it is available for download on June 12 or 13.
How to download the UGC NET city intimation slip?
Candidates should first visit the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Click on the “City Intimation Slip for UGC-NET 2026” link in the ‘LATEST NEWS’ section.
Enter your credentials—specifically, your application number and date of birth.
The city intimation slip will then appear on your screen.
Download it and take a printout for future reference.
When will the admit card be released?
Admit cards may be released four days prior to the exam. Candidates are advised to carefully review all the details mentioned in the admit card upon downloading it. Additionally, when proceeding to the exam centre, ensure you carry a valid identity proof (such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License, or Passport) along with your admit card. You will not be permitted to enter the exam centre without the admit card and ID card.
UGC NET June Exam Dates 2026: Full Schedule
Exams for 15 subjects—including Visual Art, Punjabi, Tamil, Geography, Marathi, Persian, Home Science, and Music—will be conducted on June 22. Exams will also be held on June 23, 24, 25, and 30.
