New Delhi, India Post GDS Result 2026 Date:- India Post has announced recruitment for 28,740 vacant posts of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS). Applications for these posts were accepted from January 31st to February 16th. Candidates were then given the opportunity to make corrections in their forms from February 18th to 19th. Now, the millions of candidates who applied for this recruitment are eagerly awaiting the release of the merit list. The first merit list for Gramin Dak Sevak recruitment is expected to be released in the first week of March. In the previous recruitment, India Post also released the results within 20 days.

After the India Post first merit list is released, candidates who are included in it will have to participate in the document verification process for appointment.

Once the India Post Merit List 2026 is released, first visit the official website, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
Go to the “Online Engagement” section at the bottom of the Candidate’s Corner.
Select your state here and click on the merit list link.
A PDF will open on your screen.
Now check your result and take a printout for future use.

The released merit list will include candidates’ post names, registration numbers, and divisions, along with other details.

How much will the salary be?
This recruitment drive will fill 28,740 vacant positions nationwide. Candidates selected for BPM positions will receive a salary ranging from ₹12,000 to ₹29,380 per month, depending on the position. Candidates selected for ABPM/Dak Sevak positions will receive a salary ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹24,470 per month.
