: According to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), gold and silver prices rose on Friday, May 29. Following today’s price hike, 999-purity gold has reached ₹157,043 per 10 grams. Gold rates surged by ₹971 per 10 grams today. Meanwhile, the price of 999-purity silver has jumped by up to ₹3,049 today.

Silver was recorded at ₹260,917 by the time the market closed on Wednesday evening; following today’s increase, it has now reached ₹263,966. Rates were not released on May 28 due to Bakrid. Below, we look at the latest rates for 24-, 23-, 22-, 18-, and 14-carat gold, as per the IBJA.

24-Carat Gold Rate

24-carat (999 purity) gold has reached ₹157,043 per 10 grams following today’s price increase. Gold became dearer by ₹971 today.

23-Carat Gold Rate

23-carat (995 purity) gold has reached ₹156,414 per 10 grams following today’s price increase. Gold became dearer by ₹967 today.

22-Carat Gold Rate

916-purity gold (22-carat) rose by ₹889 today, reaching ₹143,851 per 10 grams.

18-Carat Gold Rate

750-purity gold (18-carat) rose by ₹728 today, reaching ₹117,782 per 10 grams.

14-Carat Gold Rate

Gold with 585 purity (14-carat) has risen by ₹568 today, reaching ₹91,870 per 10 grams.
