Using reward points will be easy
Air India has also revamped its loyalty and rewards program. Passengers can now effortlessly redeem their reward points for ticket bookings or upgrades from economy to business class. As a member of the Star Alliance, travelers will also have the opportunity to use these points on over 25 international airlines. In the future, these points may also be used for benefits such as access to airport lounges, additional baggage, and partner hotels.

The airline said this decision was made due to rising fuel costs and operational pressures. The company will consider increasing the number of flights once the situation returns to normal.
