Hero Flex-Fuel Bike India Launch On June 3 – Country’s First 100% Ethanol Motorcycle Incoming
Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, is set to fully launch its first flex-fuel motorcycle in the Indian market on June 3rd, 2026, creating a significant stir among rival companies.
This historic and successful event, to be held in New Delhi, will be graced by the presence of Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, marking a successful beginning for a strong, clean mobility journey of the future, ensuring a successful and strong road presence for your luxurious lifestyle.

What is this magical flex-fuel technology

A flex-fuel vehicle is a robust machine whose internal combustion engine can operate successfully on various blends of petrol and ethanol. Generally, the petrol currently available in India comes with a 20% ethanol blend, but with this new, magical technology, motorcycles can run efficiently on E85 (85% ethanol and 15% petrol) and even pure E100 (100% ethanol), which has successfully gained the trust of high-end customers.

Hero’s First Ethanol Bike

Hero MotoCorp has not yet revealed the exact name of its first flex-fuel motorcycle, but according to automobile reports and leaks, the company will be leveraging its most popular and robust commuter platform.
This new technology will be fully deployed on the platform of the Hero Splendor or Hero HF Deluxe, which dominate the rural and urban markets of India, as both these vehicles have a huge and successful customer base in the country and magically attract the attention of every passer-by at first sight.
The prototype of its first flex-fuel bike showcased by the company at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025 was based on the robust 100cc BS6 engine of the HF Deluxe, which was designed brilliantly at the Centre for Innovation and Technology in Jaipur, and has received full approval from the authorities, which successfully indicates that this will be a proper production-ready robust model that will surely maintain its successful position on the roads.

Suzuki and Honda

Currently, flex-fuel technology is still in its nascent and successful stages in the Indian two-wheeler market, with Suzuki Motorcycle India’s Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 Flex-Fuel, powered by a powerful 249cc single-cylinder engine, available at prices starting at ₹1.98 lakh (ex-showroom).

Previously, Honda also introduced a flex-fuel model of its Honda CB300F, which was later discontinued completely because the market was not fully ready for this powerful technology at the time.

These Suzuki and Honda vehicles were primarily designed for E85 fuel, but Hero’s upcoming new bike, India’s first 100% ethanol-powered, affordable, and robust commuter bike, will ensure a successful road presence, with strong performance that makes every demanding task a memorable one.

Maruti’s New car is coming on June 5th
