New Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift And Vision S Revealed – Two Stunning SUVs Ready For India

Mahindra & Mahindra, the utility vehicle (UV) manufacturer known for its strong presence and powerful vehicles in the Indian automobile market, is once again preparing to make a big splash. Mahindra is set to launch two highly anticipated SUVs in the domestic market by the end of this financial year.

This new portfolio includes a new facelifted version of the Scorpio-N, considered the heart of the nation, and the Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift. The company will also launch the production version of the , based on an all-new platform.

According to buzz within the auto industry, the first official glimpse of this smallest member of the Scorpio family, the Vision S-based SUV, could be seen at the 2027 Auto Expo in February next year.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift

The newly updated model of Mahindra’s superhit SUV, the Scorpio-N, is currently undergoing rigorous testing and has been spotted on the roads several times. Although the company hasn’t yet revealed an exact launch date, it’s believed that Mahindra will launch it around the upcoming Diwali festival season. The new Scorpio-N’s exterior will feature minor cosmetic changes, but the real surprise lies inside its cabin.

Interior

Giving the car’s interior a highly modern look, it will now feature a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Furthermore, for driver convenience, the old analog console will be replaced by a stunning new, fully digital driver display (Instrument Cluster). The central console has also been redesigned, with the AC vents repositioned and new armrests for front and rear passenger comfort.

Engine and Performance

Mechanically, the engine setup will remain unchanged. The SUV will continue to be sold with the existing and highly powerful 2.0-liter mStallion turbo petrol engine (203bhp) and 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine (175bhp). Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, while only select top variants will feature a proper 4X4 drivetrain. Furthermore, to improve the ride quality, the company may introduce ‘DaVinci’ active dampers (suspension technology), which previously debuted on the XUV 7XO.

Mahindra Vision S

Mahindra is set to launch the first model based on its all-new and revolutionary NU_IQ modular platform in the first quarter of 2027 (January-March). The production-ready Mahindra Vision S is expected to be showcased to the world at the 2027 India Mobility Expo.

This SUV has generated considerable buzz among auto enthusiasts due to its boxy, upright, and muscular silhouette, reminiscent of large vehicles like the legendary Scorpio and Land Rover Defender. Recently leaked spy images reveal that the production model will largely resemble the original concept shown in 2025.

NU_IQ Platform

Mahindra’s new platform is a monocoque architecture, which is both extremely safe and capable of supporting a variety of engines: petrol, diesel, hybrid, and pure electric (EV). Positioned in terms of size, this new compact SUV will fit between the XUV 3XO and the Scorpio-N. It has been specifically designed for customers who want a rugged lifestyle SUV for both city use and convenience.

Size and Engine Options

Initially, the vehicle is expected to be powered by the same reliable 1.2-liter TGDi turbo petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engines as the XUV 3XO. Shortly after launch, the company will also introduce hybrid and pure electric (EV) variants, offering customers a new option for environmentally friendly driving.
