British two-wheeler giant Triumph Motorcycles has officially listed its exclusive motorcycle, the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition, in the Indian market. Most importantly, the company plans to sell only 800 units of this unique machine worldwide. This bike is a wonderful gift for cafe racer enthusiasts who have been disappointed since the discontinuation of the iconic Thruxton 1200.
Style and Design

The biggest highlight of this special edition motorcycle is its retro-modern look and iconic design. The company has crafted it into a beautiful work of art that commands everyone’s attention as soon as it hits the road.
It features clip-on handlebars, considered the hallmark of traditional cafe racers, which provide the rider with an aggressive and sporty riding posture. Additionally, the bike features a striking dual-tone Competition Green and Aluminium Silver paint scheme.
To further enhance its sporty front end, a matching headlight cowl is added. At the rear, the bike features a rear seat cowl and a luxurious tan leather quilted seat, adding a premium touch to its vintage look.
1200cc Parallel-Twin Engine
While the bike may appear inspired by British café racers of the 1960s, its heart is truly modern and powerful. It features Triumph’s most successful 1,200cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, which is derived from its top-spec model, the Speed Twin 1200 RS.
This powerful engine produces a maximum power of 103.5 bhp at 7,750 rpm and a massive peak torque of 112 Nm at just 4,250 rpm. To manage all this power, it’s paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
To make gear shifting even smoother and race-track-fast, the company offers a bi-directional quick shifter as standard. A quick shifter is considered rare in Triumph’s modern classic range, which significantly enhances this bike’s utility.
Speed Twin 1200 RS features race-spec components

This exclusive café racer not only boasts killer looks, but its mechanical components (cycle parts) are also sourced from the world’s best brands. To absorb all the bumps and shocks, it features 43mm upside-down forks at the front and fully adjustable premium Ohlins twin suspension (RSUs) at the rear.
For precise braking and safety even at high speeds, it features dual-channel ABS with Brembo Stylema monolock radial calipers, delivering exceptional stopping power. For excellent cornering grip, stability, and confidence, its 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with track-ready Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tires.
Price and Collector’s Value
Priced at ₹17.99 lakh (ex-showroom), this Cafe Racer Edition is approximately ₹1.21 lakh more expensive than the regular Speed Twin 1200 RS (priced at ₹16.78 lakh). But what you get in return is unparalleled exclusivity.
Since Triumph will only produce 800 motorcycles worldwide, each bike comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the company. This certificate is a surefire proof that your bike is one of the world’s most exclusive and select machines, destined to become a collector’s item in the future.
Triumph India has not yet clarified how many of these 800 units will arrive in India, but the number will certainly be very limited.
