People often assume that a CNG car will result in less power, but this is not the case with the Maruti Victoris CNG. This SUV is powered by the company’s proven 1.5-liter K15C four-cylinder petrol engine.

This engine produces 88 PS of power and 121 Nm of torque when running on CNG mode, while switching to petrol mode increases its power to 101 PS and 137 Nm of torque. The car comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox and does not offer an automatic transmission option.

In terms of fuel efficiency, the company claims that this powerful SUV delivers an excellent mileage of 27.02 km/kg. Most notably, Maruti has introduced a segment-first underfloor CNG tank setup, allowing the CNG cylinder to fit under the vehicle’s bottom, freeing up space for luggage in the boot space.

Pricing and Competition

In the Indian market, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris CNG is priced from ₹11.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹14.72 lakh (ex-showroom). In the market, it faces strong competition from established rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara CNG and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG. Its exceptional cabin space and modern looks make this car a very economical and the best option compared to rival CNG SUVs.
