Gate 2026 Registration without Late Fees: IIT Guwahati has extended the application deadline for the GATE 2026 exam. Candidates who haven’t yet registered have a great opportunity. They can now register without a late fee until October 6th. The last date for late fee applications is October 9th. Candidates can register through the official website. IIT Guwahati had previously set the GATE 2026 application deadline as September 28th, but has extended it to accommodate many candidates. Candidates who haven’t yet registered can apply until October 9th.
According to the new notification, the deadline for late fee applications has now been extended to October 6th. Candidates who haven’t yet applied by that time can register with a late fee until October 9th, 2025. The late fee is ₹1,500 per paper for female candidates and reserved categories, and ₹2,500 per paper for all other candidates.
GATE Exam to be Held in February
The GATE 2026 exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15. The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted in two shifts: the morning session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Admit cards will be available for download from January 2, 2026.
