Now, ahead of the World Cup, as India’s youth team plays a series against South Africa, Vaibhav has set another record, which previously belonged to Rishabh Pant.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi played another impactful innings for India

A three-match ODI series is currently underway between the youth teams of India and South Africa. The Indian team has won the first two matches. Vaibhav Suryavanshi is leading India in the series. In the second match of the series, Vaibhav Suryavanshi set the record for the fastest half-century for India in a youth ODI. Vaibhav reached his 50 off just 15 balls. Previously, Rishabh Pant had scored a century for India in a youth ODI in just 18 balls, a record that has now been broken.

Even after reaching his half-century, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s bat didn’t stop. He scored 68 runs in 24 balls and was then dismissed. Trying to score quickly, Vaibhav Suryavanshi couldn’t complete his century. During this explosive innings, Vaibhav hit a total of 10 sixes and only one four. This means that of the 68 runs Vaibhav scored, 64 came from fours and sixes. He only ran for four runs.

Speaking of the India vs. South Africa Youth ODI series, South Africa, batting first in the second match, scored 245 runs in 49.3 overs. India needed 246 runs to win, but rain interrupted the match, forcing a halt. When the match resumed, India needed only 174 runs in 27 overs.

Vaibhav’s explosive start made India’s victory even easier. The Indian team has already won two of the three matches and secured the series, with the third and final match scheduled for January 7th.
