RCB Wins IPL 2026: Royal Challengers Bangalore, having delivered an exceptional performance right from the start of the 19th season of the Indian Premier League, clinched the title by defeating the Gujarat Titans. RCB won the hearts of their fans by securing the IPL title for the second consecutive time. From the very beginning of the match, the momentum remained firmly in RCB’s favour.
Not once did it seem as though the Gujarat Titans were poised to win the match. Immense joy was visible on the face of RCB captain Rajat Patidar, who led the team to its second IPL title victory. He also made a statement regarding Virat Kohli that has since become a major topic of discussion.

What Did Rajat Patidar Say?
RCB captain Rajat Patidar stated that no amount of gratitude would be enough to thank Virat Kohli. Patidar noted that Kohli not only offered invaluable technical advice regarding his batting but also stood as a pillar of strength and support for all the junior members of the team.
Patidar himself delivered a stellar batting performance for RCB, scoring over 500 runs in the season. He expressed his gratitude to the team’s most senior member for his unwavering support. Speaking about Kohli, Patidar said, “Regarding my approach to batting—I always strive to work on areas where I can improve, particularly when facing fast bowlers.”
Received Immense Help from Kohli Bhai — Patidar
Rajat Patidar remarked, “I received a great deal of assistance from Kohli Bhai. Whenever I see him, he is always available for the team and every individual player. He proactively reaches out to the young players himself, ensuring that no one feels hesitant to approach him.”
Reflecting on his second title victory as captain, Patidar shared that upon entering the Narendra Modi Stadium, a flood of memories from last year’s triumph came rushing back; however, he maintained his composure and focused his entire attention on the present moment.
Patidar concluded by saying, “It feels absolutely fantastic. There were indeed many memories from the previous year, but we knew we had to keep our focus strictly on the present.” I have no words to express my emotions, but it feels wonderful.
Chasing the Target Was Easy
Rajat Patidar stated that their plan was crystal clear. Chasing the target was easy. Their objective was to dismiss the opposition’s top three batsmen. Throughout the entire tournament, the performance of their bowlers has been truly magnificent. Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar), (Josh) Hazlewood, Salim Rasikh (Dar), Krunal (Pandya), and Sheppy (Romario Shepherd)—all of them have delivered outstanding performances.
