New Delhi: The Indian cricket team suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of South Africa at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. This marked the first time in 15 years that the Indian team has lost a match to South Africa in a home match. They lost by 30 runs.
Previously, in 2010, South Africa, under the captaincy of Graeme Smith, defeated India in Nagpur. This defeat was a huge disappointment for fans. On the field, the Indian team was chasing a target of 124 runs. At one point, it seemed that India would easily achieve this target, but South Africa’s intelligent bowling and fielding thwarted everything.
