If Rohit’s bat works, then South Africa’s great all-rounder Jacques Kallis and former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq will be left behind. In fact, Rohit Sharma has 11516 runs in 271 innings of 279 matches in ODI cricket. If Rohit is successful in scoring 64 runs, then he will surpass Jacques Kallis in terms of scoring the most runs in the history of ODI cricket. Kallis has scored 11579 runs in 328 ODI matches.
If Rohit performs brilliantly with the bat in all three matches, he could surpass Inzamam-ul-Haq. However, to achieve this, he will need to score 224 runs, which will not be easy but certainly not impossible. Now it will be interesting to see how the Hitman performs with the bat.
