Rangarajan will replace Luke Williams
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday appointed former Tamil Nadu spinner Malolan Rangarajan as the head coach of their women’s team ahead of the fourth season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) next year. Rangarajan will replace Luke Williams, who was appointed head coach in 2024. The former Australia player will not be able to offer his services in the WPL due to his commitments with the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League.

Who is Mallolan Rangarajan?
Rangarajan has been a part of RCB’s WPL support staff since its inception. He was the team’s assistant coach when RCB won the title in 2024.
Malolan Rangarajan, 36, is a right-arm off-spinner who never played for India.Malolan’s cricket career includes 136 wickets in 47 first-class matches. His best innings performance is 7 for 135. His best match performance is 10 for 78 in a first-class match. Malolan was a very economical bowler in first-class cricket, with an economy rate of 2.93. He took five five-wicket hauls and eight four-wicket hauls.
