What ingredients are needed to make Chole Paneer at home?
Chickpeas – 1 cup
Onions – 2 (finely chopped)
Paneer (Indian cottage cheese) – 200 grams
Tomatoes – 2 (pureed)
Green chillies – 1-2 (finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
Oil or ghee—2–3 tablespoons
Salt – to taste

What ingredients are needed for the spice mix?
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice or amchur powder – 1 teaspoon
Garam masala – 1/2 teaspoon
Tea leaves – 1 teaspoon
How is Chole Paneer made?
1- First, you need to soak the chickpeas in water overnight. Then, in the morning, boil them in a pressure cooker with salt and tea leaves until you hear 5-6 whistles.
2- Then, continue frying the paneer pieces until they turn light golden brown.

3- Next, heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Then add onions and sauté them.
4- Now add the ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Then add the tomato puree and all the spices and mix well. Once the spices separate from the oil, add the chickpeas and cook for 10 minutes. Add the fried rice and paneer pieces and cook further.
