Additionally, warnings have been issued for Assam and Meghalaya, predicting heavy rain accompanied by strong winds on April 17 and 18. Punjab and Haryana Weather Update
The heat has begun to intensify in Punjab and Haryana. Daytime temperatures are expected to hover between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius, with a possibility of dust storms in some regions. According to experts, some slight relief may be experienced in the evening; however, no significant respite from the day’s scorching heat is anticipated for the time being.
Rajasthan Weather Forecast
In several districts of Western Rajasthan, temperatures are soaring to 42-45 degrees Celsius, making the impact of the heatwave evident. The Meteorological Department has issued a stern warning for the region, advising people to avoid going outdoors unless absolutely necessary.
Uttar Pradesh Weather Forecast
While Western UP is experiencing intense heat, residents in the eastern parts are finding some relief from the heat due to mild humidity. The Meteorological Department forecasts that most districts across UP are set to face severe heat in the coming days.

Cooler Weather and Rain in the Hills
An alert has been issued for the hilly regions of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh due to light rainfall and snowfall in higher-altitude areas. Consequently, temperatures are expected to drop slightly, and cooler conditions will persist, whereas the plains will continue to experience typical summer heat.
Warning of Severe Heat in the Plains
In recent days, temperatures ranging from 38 to 44 degrees Celsius were recorded in several locations. According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, there is a likelihood of heatwaves this week across East and West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Odisha. Meanwhile, temperatures in Northwest India could rise by 3–4 degrees Celsius by April 18.
