New Delhi: Recently, US President Donald Trump suffered a major setback from the country’s own Supreme Court regarding his tariff policy. The court struck down the Trump tariffs, declaring the decision illegal. Since then, Donald Trump has been expressing his anger. Once again, he has vented his anger at his country’s Supreme Court.
He linked the Supreme Court’s decision to an insult and said it would further increase his power. In a post on Social Truth, Trump promised to legally implement the tariffs. However, he did not provide details.

Donald Trump made a significant statement regarding the Supreme Court.
Regarding the Supreme Court’s decision, Donald Trump said that the US Supreme Court, by issuing a ridiculous, foolish, and internationally highly divisive decision, decided to expand his powers as president beyond what he had previously.
For one thing, I can use this license to take extremely drastic measures against other countries, especially those that have exploited us for decades. He further said that the surprising thing is that, as per the decision, I cannot chargea license fee from other countries, whereas there is a fee attached to every license, so why can’t America do so?

What else did Trump say?
US President Donald Trump said that someone could go beyond the tariff issue and rule in favour of China and other countries on the issue of birthright citizenship. The next thing that would happen is that they (the Supreme Court) would rule in favour of China and other countries. They would also say that the 14th Amendment was not written to care for the children of slaves, even though that was its purpose. The Supreme Court would somehow reach the wrong conclusion.
US President Donald Trump immediately announced a 1 per cent global tariff after the Supreme Court’s decision. Subsequently, on Saturday (February 21, 2026), Trump increased the global tariff to per centent.
