New Delhi: Life has become difficult in large parts of the country due to the biting cold these days. People are facing hardships. The combination of cold weather and dense fog has brought the fast-paced life to a standstill, causing considerable distress to everyone. The cold wave has created havoc in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Rajasthan.

Due to the increasing cold, the Rajasthan government has announced school closures for the convenience of children. Holidays have been declared in 13 districts of Rajasthan. In the Jaipur district, holidays have been declared for students of government schools until January 10th due to the cold. A holiday notice has been issued by the District Collector.

Holidays until January 10th in Jaipur and Sikar

The Jaipur District Magistrate has declared holidays for schools up to class 5th due to the cold. Holidays have been declared for classes 6th to 8th until January 8th. Similarly, in Sikar district, holidays have been declared for all government and private schools from classes 1 to 8 until January 10th. School timings for classes 9 to 12 have been changed to 11 AM to 4 PM.

Holidays declared in these districts

In the Ajmer district, a two-day holiday has been declared for Anganwadi centres and classes up to the 5th grade. In Dungarpur, holidays have been declared from January 6th to 8th for children studying in Anganwadi centres and government and private schools from classes one to five.

In Kota, the timings of all government and non-government schools operating in two shifts have been changed from January 6th to 8th. First shift schools will run from 10 AM to 1 PM, and second shift schools will run from 1:05 PM to 4 PM.

In Jhalawar, holidays have been declared for students from classes 1 to 8 from Tuesday until January 10th. In Bhilwara, due to the cold, Collector Jasmeet Singh Sandhu has announced holidays for students from classes 1 to 8 from January 6th to 8th.

Schools to remain closed here, too.

In Tonk, schools andAnganwadi centress will remain closed for students up to class 8 until January 8th. Staff will still be required to report to school during this period. In Chittorgarh, all schools and Anganwadi centres will be closed for students in classes 1 to 8 on January 6th and 7th.

In Sri Ganganagar, schools will be closed for students from nursery to class 5 from January 6th to 12th. Meanwhile, in Hanumangarh, holidays have been declared for classes 1 to 8 in all government and private schools from January 6th to 10th.
