Monsoon Update: The weather in the country is changing very rapidly. Most states are currently experiencing severe cold. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), although the weather will remain dry in western India, life in several states of North India may be affected by extremely low visibility and cold waves. The Meteorological Department predicts that “extremely dense fog” is likely in Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana in the morning.

Visibility may also drop below 50 meters in many areas, which is likely to affect road, rail, and air traffic. The rain on Friday, January 9th, led to a drop in temperature, increasing the cold. Several states, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, are facing cold weather and fog. The Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in several states. Some states may also experience rainfall.

Weather in Delhi:
On Saturday, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 17 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature 6 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department predicts that similar weather conditions will prevail. A further drop in temperature is expected in Delhi on January 11th.

Fog Alert in 16 States:
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for dense fog in 16 states, including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. An orange alert has been issued for very dense fog in Western and Eastern Rajasthan, Western Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.

Rain Alert in These States:
The Meteorological Department predicts heavy rainfall in four states on January 10th. An alert has been issued for heavy rain in Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka. The rain may lead to a further drop in temperature.

Weather in Uttar Pradesh:
An alert has been issued for dense fog and cold waves in Noida, Ghaziabad, and Meerut in Western Uttar Pradesh. In addition, a warning has been issued regarding dense fog in several districts, including Lucknow, Varanasi, and Prayagraj. Moderate to dense fog is expected in the morning.

Weather in Gujarat:
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the state will remain dry. No alert has been issued regarding severe cold or dense fog. However, minimum temperatures may be low in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. Light cold winds will blow along the coastal areas of Saurashtra and Kutch.

Weather in Bihar:
Dense fog is expected in the morning in several areas, including Muzaffarpur. Furthermore, the cold will intensify due to westerly winds. There is no possibility of rain, but the weak sunlight will make it feel chilly even during the day.
