New Delhi: RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family have suffered a major setback in the land-for-jobs scam case. A court in Delhi has framed charges against Lalu Prasad Yadav, his family, and others. This significantly increases the likelihood of further legal action against them.

The Special Court at Rouse Avenue ordered the framing of charges against Lalu Yadav and others. The court suspected that the Lalu family was involved in a large-scale conspiracy with people in the land-for-jobs scam. The charge sheet alleges that Lalu Yadav’s close associates assisted in the land acquisition in exchange for jobs, acting as co-conspirators.

The court rejected the arguments seeking the acquittal of Lalu Yadav and his family. Furthermore, there are strong indications that Lalu Yadav and his family members were operating as a criminal enterprise while holding public office.
