Uttar Pradesh School Closed

Due to the continuous cold wave in Uttar Pradesh, authorities have extended winter holidays in several districts. In Lucknow, schools up to Class 8 have been closed due to the severe cold and morning fog. In Kanpur Nagar and Kanpur Dehat, schools for junior classes will remain closed; senior classes will operate on revised timings. In Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida), schools up to Class 8 will remain closed, while Classes 9-12 will operate in a hybrid model. In Meerut, Bulandshahr, and Muzaffarnagar, winter holidays for primary and middle classes have been extended for the time being. Additionally, in Varanasi, schools up to Class 8 are closed due to the cold wave and poor visibility. Junior classes will remain closed in Prayagraj and Ayodhya.

Punjab School Closed Today
The state experienced a continuous drop in temperature, after which holidays were announced from January 1st to 7th. Now, with the cold wave intensifying again in Punjab, the holidays have been extended until January 13th. Districts like Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Patiala, Bathinda, and Mohali are being closely monitored for weather-related advisories.

Telangana School Closed News

Schools across Telangana will remain closed until January 16, 2026. This holiday extension applies to all government, private, and aided schools in the state. The schools will remain closed until January 16th due to major festivals like Bhogi, Sankranthi, and Kanuma. According to the academic calendar, schools are scheduled to reopen on January 17, 2026. Schools in Varanasi closed until January 9

Due to dense fog in Varanasi, all schools from pre-primary through class 8 will remain closed from January 7 to 9. In Ghazipur, schools for classes 1 to 8 have also been closed from January 6 to 10. Classes for grades 9 to 12 in Ghazipur are being conducted for limited hours.

When will schools reopen in Bihar?
The closure date for schools up to class 8 has been extended in Rohtas, Kishanganj, and Katihar. Schools up to class 8 will remain closed until January 9 in Rohtas and Kishanganj districts, and until January 10 in Katihar.
