: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has released the results for the Class 8, 10, and 12 Open Board examinations. Students who appeared for the Open School Board examinations can now check their results via the Board’s official website, .org.

In the Himachal Pradesh Open Board Class 8 examinations, 61.06 per cent of students passed in 2026. Meanwhile, 54.66% of students passed Class 10, and 64.57% passed Class 12. Students can view their scores on the official website by visiting hpbose.org.

According to media reports, a total of 208 students appeared for the Class 8 examination; of these, 127 passed, 2 failed, and 63 were placed in the ‘Re-appear’ category (requiring a re-examination). Consequently, the overall pass percentage stood at 61.06%. Similarly, in Class 10, out of 3,895 students, 2,129 passed, 24 failed, and 1,639 were placed in the ‘Re-appear’ category, bringing the total pass percentage to 54.66%.

For Class 12th, 5,275 students appeared for the examination; of these, 3,406 passed, 37 failed, and 1,662 were placed in the ‘Re-appear’ category.

How to check :

Step 1: Visit the official website at hpbose.org.

Step 2: Locate the ‘Results’ tab on the website’s homepage.

Step 3: Click on the “HPSOS 2026” link and navigate to the login page.

Step 4: Enter your Roll Number.

Step 5: A new window will open on your screen.

Step 6: Download the scorecard and take a printout for future reference.

Apply for Re-evaluation, Rechecking, and Improvement

Students who feel that their answer sheets were not evaluated correctly, or that their marks were not totalled accurately, may apply for re-evaluation or rechecking. Applications can be submitted at an HPSOS Study Centre; the deadline is June 10. Students wishing to appear for an Improvement Exam to enhance their scores may apply between June 5 and June 30.
