BSSC CGL-4, Stenographer and Office Attendant Posts Increased . There’s good news for the youth of Bihar. The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has significantly increased the number of vacancies in the CGL-4 recruitment, Office Attendant recruitment, and Stenographer recruitment. Following this revised notification issued by the Commission, the opportunity for candidates to secure selection has increased. Previously, there were 1,541 vacancies under the BSSC CGL-4, but this number has now increased to 1,883. The number of vacancies for Office Attendant recruitment has also increased from 4,388 to 5,131.

The Commission has also opened an application correction window, allowing interested candidates to make necessary changes to their forms until November 24th.

BSSC CGL-4 Vacancy 2025 Increases Significantly

According to the latest update, the number of positions in several CGL-4 recruitments has been increased.

The revised number of positions is as follows:

  • Assistant Branch Officer (ASO): 1064 → 1406
  • Planning Assistant: 88
  • Junior Statistical Assistant: 05
  • Data Entry Operator Grade C: 01
  • Auditors: 125
  • Auditors, Support Committees: 198
  • Industry Extension Officer (Level 7): 60

Selection for the CGL will be conducted through two stages: a preliminary examination and a main examination.

Office Attendant Recruitment 2025 Increases 743 Positions

Office Attendant Recruitment has also seen a significant increase.

  • Previously, the total number of posts: 4388
  • Now, the total number of posts: 5131

The Commission received requisitions for 726 additional posts from nine new departments, which have been added to the revised vacancies.

Positions also increased in the Stenographer recruitment

BSSC’s third major recruitment, the Stenographer recruitment, has also been revised.

  • Previously, the number of posts: 432
  • Now, the number of posts: 531

This increase is a major relief for candidates who were waiting for this recruitment.

Opportunity to make corrections on 12 points

In response to candidate demand, the Commission has opened an edit window for corrections in the application form.

Current correction deadline: November 24, 2025

Candidates can make corrections on 12 different points.

Candidates who have worked on contract will now receive 25 additional marks.

The BSSC has decided to award a maximum of 25 marks to contract candidates, providing a significant benefit.

  • 5 marks per year for each year of satisfactory service.
  • Proportional marks will also be added for partial service.
  • This decision is considered a significant step for contract employees.

Sports Trainer Recruitment Date Also Extended

BSSC has extended the application date for the Sports Trainer Recruitment.

  • New Deadline (Registration and Fees): December 11, 2025
  • Final Submission Deadline: December 14, 2025
  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
  • Diploma or PGDSC in a relevant sport
  • Represented the state or country in a national/international competition
  • Age Limit
  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Maximum age: 37 years
