In Mumbai, you can buy an LPG cylinder for ₹552 and bring it home. In Gurgaon, a domestic LPG cylinder costs up to ₹861, with a subsidy of ₹300. Consequently, you can purchase it for a total of ₹561.
How many cylinders are subsidised annually?
The central government is providing a subsidy of ₹300 on a cooking gas cylinder under the PM Ujjwala Yojana. Now, only 9 cylinders will be eligible for subsidy each year. Previously, the government provided a subsidy of ₹200 on 12 cylinders per year. However, the subsidy amount has been increased by reducing the number of cylinders.
