Paddy prices fluctuated in major markets across India today, Thursday, November 27, 2025. Some varieties remained strong in many markets across Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, while other qualities remained under pressure. Amid rising arrivals and changing purchasing trends, the market gave mixed signals. Hand-quality paddy remained particularly strong, while combine quality remained slightly weak.

Premium Quality Impacts Haryana Markets
Hand-quality paddy prices rose today in Tohana, Sirsa, Kaithal, Ratia, and Kalayat markets in Haryana. In Tohana, the prices of 1401 and 1121 combine quality varieties ranged from ₹3700 to ₹3950. Here, 1885 hand quality was sold at ₹3650 to ₹3700, while combined quality was at ₹3350 to ₹3570. In Sirsa, 1401 variety saw a gain of about ₹50, reaching ₹3700 to ₹3880. Prices of 1509 and 1847 also experienced limited fluctuations. In Kaithal, 1401 prices remained stable at ₹3750 to ₹3925, while 1885 and 1718 saw slight improvements.
Variety-wise Price Fluctuations in Uttar Pradesh Markets
In the Jahangirabad, Najafgarh, Jalaun, Hathras, and Mainpuri markets, paddy prices today varied depending on quality. In Khair Mandi, 1509 cubit quality ranged from ₹2950 to ₹3132, while combines were sold for ₹2700 to ₹2906. Prices for Sarbati and 1847 also saw a slight increase. In Jahangirabad, 1718 cubit quality was selling strongly at ₹3400 to ₹3470, while combines were between ₹3000 and ₹3250. In Najafgarh, 1121 and 1885 saw significant gains, reaching close to ₹4000. In other UP markets, such as Jalaun and Mainpuri, 1509 and 1718 saw moderate increases.
Today’s Situation in Punjab and Other Regions
In Amritsar Mandi, 1121 cubit quality prices ranged from ₹3850 to ₹4215, while combines were between ₹3500 and ₹3920. Rates for 1718 and 1885 also remained strong in hand quality. Other markets in Haryana, such as Fatehabad, Rania, and Gohana, also saw moderate improvement in 1401, 1121, 1885, and 1718 varieties. Arrivals of 25,000 bags were recorded at Ratia Mandi today, leading to slight pressure on the market, but premium varieties maintained their strength.
