PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, very important news has come to light for the country’s millions of farmers. The central government transfers financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually directly to farmers’ bank accounts in three equal installments. Millions of names being removed from the PM Kisan Yojana
This time, the government has significantly accelerated the data matching and document verification process, resulting in numerous deficiencies found during verification that did not meet the scheme’s prescribed standards. The names of farmers who provided incorrect information at the time of registration or whose eligibility status has changed are being removed.
Land transfers after February 1, 2019, are also being closely scrutinized, as mismatches between your documents and the information provided on the portal could result in a withholding of your installment. Furthermore, farmers who currently pay income tax or hold government positions are also being excluded from this list so that only the most eligible farmers receive financial benefits.
e-KYC and Land Seeding
To receive your next installment without any interruptions, you must pay special attention to certain technical aspects that verify your eligibility. The first and most mandatory requirement is e-KYC, which can be completed through Aadhaar OTP or biometrics. If your status doesn’t show ‘YES’, your 22nd installment will not be released. Similarly, land seeding, i.e., updating your land records on the portal, is also mandatory.
If it shows ‘NO’, you should immediately contact your local Patwari or Tehsil office. It’s also important to link your bank account to Aadhaar, i.e., Aadhaar seeding, so that the money can be safely transferred to your account through DBT.
Complete Status Check Process
If you want to know whether you’re eligible for the 22nd installment, you don’t need to rush anywhere, as you can check your status from your smartphone. First, visit the official PM Kisan website, pmkisan.gov.in, and under the ‘Farmers Corner’ section on the right side of the homepage, click on the ‘Know Your Status’ option.
Enter your registration number or mobile number here, and enter the captcha code displayed on the screen. Clicking the ‘Get Data’ button will then reveal your application’s full details. Specifically, look for the e-KYC and Land Seeding columns under Eligibility Status. If there’s a green tick, your upcoming installment is completely secure.
