Entire Rail Ticketing System to be Integrated into One App

Until now, rail passengers had to rely on different apps for different services. The UTS app was necessary for general tickets, and the IRCTC app for reserved tickets. This system often led to technical difficulties for passengers. This situation will change completely after the implementation of the RailOne app. With this single app, passengers will be able to book both reserved and unreserved tickets.

Direct Fare Benefit on RailOne App

To encourage passengers to adopt the new system, the railways have also launched an attractive incentive scheme. Passengers booking tickets through the RailOne app will receive a direct three percent discount on the fare. This concession will be effective from January 14th. The railways believe that this will make it easier for passengers to adopt the new platform.

Change Being Implemented in a Phased Manner

The railways have clarified that this change will not be implemented suddenly, but is being implemented in a phased manner. South Eastern Railway has issued the necessary guidelines to its commercial department. At stations under the Chakradharpur railway division, passengers are being informed about the RailOne app and are also being assisted in downloading the app on their mobile phones.

UTS App Already Limited

It is worth noting that the railways had already removed the facility to book monthly passes from the UTS app. Now, from March 1st, this app will become completely inactive. According to Senior DCM of Chakradharpur railway division, Aditya Chaudhary, all necessary facilities will be available to passengers on the RailOne app, eliminating the need for any other app.
