Gold prices dropped as soon as the market opened today. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the price of 24-carat gold for August delivery fell by ₹1,231 to ₹1,46,786 per 10 grams. It had closed at ₹1,47,946 per 10 grams on the previous trading day. Meanwhile, according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of gold was recorded at ₹1,47,146 per 10 grams at the close of the market on Wednesday evening.
