Ultraviolette Automotive, the company that has disrupted the Indian high-performance electric two-wheeler segment, is all set to launch its first and most anticipated electric scooter, the Ultraviolette Tesseract. The company has officially confirmed that this flagship electric scooter will be launched in January 2027, with deliveries beginning this month.
While deliveries were originally scheduled to begin this year, customer feedback and significant technical upgrades have pushed the launch date back. After unveiling the concept model in 2025, the company took it to 30 different cities across the country to gauge customer feedback. Based on that research, several major and revolutionary changes have now been made to this scooter.
Design and Comfort

Based on customer feedback received during a 30-city roadshow, Ultraviolet has significantly improved its exterior and comfort, making daily use much easier. To improve the comfort of both the rider and pillion, the seat width has been increased and premium foam with higher density has been used.
Furthermore, the footrest, the floorboard, has been redesigned. The new floorboard not only provides more space in the cabin, but its narrow design allows even shorter riders to comfortably keep their feet on the ground in traffic.
India’s First 100V Architecture
Beyond the visual changes, the most significant and historic change has been made to the scooter’s internal mechanical structure. The Ultraviolet Tesseract has now switched to a state-of-the-art 100V (100-volt) architecture. The company claims that this is India’s first electric scooter to feature this high-voltage technology.
The addition of this 100V architecture provides the scooter with several unique benefits. This system not only provides better thermal management of the motor, but also provides high, continuous power for high-speed operation. This allows the vehicle to generate three times more power than before and enable faster charging. This has also helped reduce production costs.
The company has developed a completely new and advanced BMS (Battery Management System). This new BMS is significantly smaller than the previous model Ultraviolette X-47, weighing only 2.5 kg, which helps increase the range while keeping the vehicle’s overall weight low.
Powerful Performance
The Ultraviolet Tesseract is not only technologically advanced, but also set to become the most powerful scooter in the Indian market in terms of speed. Full performance details are provided below. This scooter will come equipped with a powerful 15kW electric motor, making it the fastest family scooter ever. The company claims that this scooter can easily reach a top speed of 125 km/h, perfect for highway driving.
Along with speed, safety has also been given special attention. Ranked among the safest scooters in the country, it features an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control for maintaining grip on turns, and the most premium Radar-based Assistance system. This radar technology will alert the rider to vehicles approaching in the blind spot of the ORVMs (mirrors), reducing the risk of accidents to a minimum.
Expected Pricing and Variants
To meet the needs of all customer types, the company will launch this electric scooter with three different battery pack options. Customers can choose from variants with larger battery capacities of 3.5kWh, 4kWh, and 6kWh depending on their needs.
Regarding pricing, Ultraviolet Automotive is launching this premium vehicle with very competitive pricing. This impressive scooter will start at ₹1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), which is considered quite aggressive considering its features and powertrain.
