Samsung is getting ready to unveil the Galaxy A27 and it already looks like it’s going to be one of the most rugged and enduring mid-range devices around. As it turned out, almost everything regarding the upcoming Galaxy A27’s new design, Snapdragon chipset, AMOLED panel, and years-long software support has already been leaked and revealed in officially-looking renders.
Samsung Galaxy A27’s Design and Display
The Galaxy A27 will have a newly rethought camera design from Samsung. Instead of free-floating rings, it now has a singular pill-shaped back camera housing and looks more unified and expensive. It is rumored to be launched in a Blue, Light Pink, and Black finish.
For its display, the new Samsung Galaxy A27 may come with a 6.7 inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The panel should boast impressive color reproduction, better outdoor readability, and be ideal for gaming, movies and the internet in general. Gorilla Glass Victus+ should protect both the front and the back, while a water resistance of IP68 should keep water out as well.
Samsung Galaxy A27’s Processor and Performance
At the heart of the Galaxy A27 we may find Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, which should offer greater efficiency and seamless multitasking. Samsung is said to sell this handset with configurations of either 6 or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and either 128 or 256GB of internal storage.
Interestingly, this handset is said to no longer have an external storage slot, something that may bother some users.
Samsung Galaxy A27’s Camera
As for the camera, the main lens is rumored to still be a 50MP module with OIS for photos and videos and support for 4K at 30 frames per second recording.
However, Samsung has apparently reduced the 8MP ultrawide camera from the previous generation down to 5MP and added a 2MP macro camera to the rear. Up front, Samsung may be replacing the 13MP selfie sensor with a new 12MP one and it may boast superior low-light imaging.
Samsung Galaxy A27’s Battery and Software
Its battery capacity should remain the same, so that means 5000mAh, paired with 25W wired fast charging support. As is becoming the norm for Samsung, it is likely to be shipped without a charging adapter in the box.
Samsung should release this phone with Android 16 out of the box, layered with its own One UI 8.5 overlay. It should get a full 6 major Android OS updates, one of the longest software support periods of any device within its category.
