First look and new design

Skoda has shared the official teaser, with the entire front and rear design of the Slavia Facelift being seen clean. The Slavia built on the MQB A0 IN platform is a car designed specifically for India, and that is why its facelift is also designed keeping in mind the needs of Indian customers.

Looking at the facelift this time, it seems that it is almost like a next-gen model in terms of design, not just a light update. The new type of sheet-metal design around the doors gives this car a more muscular and upmarket look.

Exterior

The biggest change in Slavia’s rear design is the new LED tail-light signature. LED indicators are shifted in the section below, making the rear look more premium.

SKODA lettering at the rear is made larger and bold, allowing the car to carry a European flare. The rear bumpers have also been given a new touch, now removing the middle chrome line and giving the styling that looks like the twin exhaust.

The side profile now includes a more solid character line, replacing the older model, which runs just above the door handle and gives the car a neat but sharp look.

Features and Tech

Slavia facelift will bring a big upgrade in terms of technology. The feature most discussed in these is Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). After its arrival, the Slavia may become the most advanced sedan in its segment.

If you talk about the engine, the 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI turbo-petrol engines will remain intact in terms of engines, which are well-liked for the right balance of power and mileage in the Indian market.

Launch

Nepal released the teaser first, but that won’t affect the launch. The Slavia is produced in Maharashtra, so its India launch is expected to be earlier. The Slavia Facelift will launch in the first half of 2026, with May 2026 being the most likely launch date.
