Tata Tiago Facelift Launch: The country’s safest and most reliable budget hatchback, the Tata Tiago Facelift, is now taking the Indian automobile market by storm. Tata Motors has launched the new incarnation of this highly popular car at a starting price of ₹4.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new-gen Tiago Facelift not only enhances its sporty and premium look, but also, for the first time in the segment, has added safety features typically found in more expensive vehicles. In this blog, let’s explore in detail what’s new in the new Tata Tiago Facelift, its variants, and their prices.
The Tata Tiago Facelift’s New and Killer Look

Tata Motors has made major cosmetic changes to the exterior of this new model compared to the old Tiago. The manufacturer completely redesigned the front of the car, which now features sleek headlamps with sharp eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs. Furthermore, the front now features a large and aggressive black grille, giving the car a strong and bold stance on the road.
Speaking of the side profile, you’ll notice the newly designed 15-inch alloy wheels, which enhance the car’s aesthetics. The rear design is also quite attractive this time around. A new taillight setup features three vertical slats on each side and a horizontal line connecting them.
These taillights appear as a connected unit, with Tata’s signature logo right in the center, adding to the premium feel. The rear bumper also features a new muscular design.
High-Tech Features
The interior of the new Tiago facelift now feels more modern and luxurious than ever before. As soon as you get inside the car, you’ll notice two free-floating screens. One is for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster. While the previous model featured an LCD instrument cluster, this new model features a fully digital instrument cluster that also supports Bluetooth connectivity.
Not only this, to make this budget car tech-savvy, the company has included 37 connected car features. Additionally, the car features automatic headlamps and a ‘Direct CNG System’ for CNG lovers to start the car directly on CNG mode.
Safety
Drivers know Tata vehicles for their steely strength, and this time the company has set a new benchmark in safety.
All variants of the new Tiago facelift will now come with six airbags as standard, starting from the base model. Additionally, this budget car features a 360-degree camera with blind spot detection for the first time, which will prove extremely helpful in narrow streets and parking.
The vehicle also includes Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Cornering Stability Control to ensure balance on the road. Advanced safety features include a reinforced roll cage to protect the cabin in the event of an accident, and Post-Crash SOS to summon immediate help.
Variants and Transmission Options
The car is available in six main trims, with both petrol and CNG options available with a manual (MT) gearbox. Additionally, for those seeking an automatic (AMT) gearbox, both petrol and CNG automatic powertrains are offered in the Pure, Pure+, Pure+A, Creative, and Creative+ trims. However, the company has not yet revealed the prices of the automatic variants.
