Renault Boreal
Renault has introduced its new three-row SUV called Boreal, which is actually based on the Dacia Bigster. This SUV is very special for India as it will also be associated with the upcoming third generation Duster. The size of the Renault Boreal is also quite impressive, with a length of 4,556 mm, a width of 1,841 mm and a height of 1,650 mm. At the same time its wheelbase is kept at 2,702 mm and ground clearance 213 mm, so that this SUV can run smoothly on all types of paths.

Boreal’s look is a great mix of both classic and modern if it comes to design. Its exterior features bold LED headlights, strong fenders and powerful stance. The cabin inside has a great luxury feel, including premium features such as a 10-inch display, panoramic sunroof, massage driver seat, and 48 color ambient lighting.
Renault can offer this SUV in a 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a hybrid version. The company started its testing in India in mid-2025 and is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Nissan 7-Seater SUV
Also, Nissan is also working on its new 7-seater SUV, being part of this Renault project. The SUV will be a corporate cousin similar to the Renault Boreal, but its design and interior will be kept completely separate so that both vehicles remain their identity.

The company is set to launch this SUV in the first quarter of 2027 (Q1 2027). Nissan will offer it with its special design elements such as new grille patterns, distinctive headlamp design, and sporty wheels.
Talking about the interior, it can see new dashboard, separate steering wheel design and futuristic center console. Talking about features, it will be similar to Boreal, which will include advanced infotainment system, safety features and comfort elements.
This Nissan model will be a great choice for those who want a balance of style, performance and space.
Hyundai 7-Seater SUV
Now comes the turn of Hyundai, which is already present in this segment through Alcazar. But the new SUV, which has a codename ‘Ni1i’, will be much larger and more powerful than Alcazar. Hyundai is set to launch it in 2027.

The size of the new SUV will be around 4.7 meters, bringing it directly against the Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari. Most notably, it will be a full-scale three-row SUV, designed for the same purpose from the beginning. That is, it will not be an extension of a model like Creta.
