Ladki Bahin Yojana: The Maharashtra government’s Chief Minister’s Ladki Bahin Yojana has become a financial support for millions of women in the state. Under this scheme, women are given financial assistance every month so that they can easily meet their household and personal needs. Meanwhile, the state government has made a major change in the rules for some beneficiary women. Therefore, if they fail to complete the necessary formalities on time, they may lose their monthly installment of Rs 1500 in the coming month.

The deadline for e-KYC under the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana has been extended. The government had previously set November 18th as the deadline for completing this task. However, due to technical issues, more than 11 million women were unable to complete their eKYC. The Maharashtra government has now extended the deadline to December 31, 2025. Consequently, women in the state will be able to complete their e-KYC until the end of the year.

The rules have changed for these women

According to the new system, women whose husbands or fathers are no longer alive, or who are divorced, will have to complete their e-KYC themselves. They will also need to submit a certified copy of their husband’s or father’s death certificate, divorce certificate, or court order to the office of their district’s Women and Child Development Officer. The government says that these changes will ensure women continue to receive the benefits of the scheme without interruption.
