Markande becomes the third player to join MI in the current trade window, following all-rounders Shardul Thakur and Sherfane Rutherford. Thakur joined from LSG in an all-cash deal worth ₹2 crore. He went unsold in the mega auction and later joined LSG midway through IPL 2025 as a replacement for left-arm fast bowler Mohsin Khan after he was injured.
