After the sky touching success of IPL, T20 leagues are held in many major cities across the country, including the Delhi Premier League, Uttarakhand Cricket League, Madhya Pradesh Cricket League, and others. Another major league is about to join these leagues. A T20 league is now set to be held in Telangana, the announcement of which has been made by the Hyderabad Cricket Association.
Hyderabad Cricket Association will conduct this new T20 league
To provide a larger platform for Telangana ‘s professional cricketers and emerging talent, the Hyderabad Cricket Association on Monday announced the launch of the Telangana T20 League. Teams from different regions of the state will participate in the tournament. The HCA has announced a seven-member governing council, consisting of T. Basavaraju (Joint Secretary), Sunil Agarwal (Councilor), Parth Satwalkar (Indian Players Association), Rajshekhar Dastagar, C. Sanjeev Reddy, and V. Agam Rao, as well as Imtiaz Khan (CEO).
The number of teams participating in the Telangana Premier League has not yet been decided. The tournament’s launch date will be announced soon. Acting President Daljit Singh stated that this league will help produce more talented players from Telangana. Daljit Singh said, “The Telangana T20 League is an important step toward nurturing local talent and giving them professional experience. We want to strengthen Telangana cricket.”
Hyderabad, Telangana, has produced many legendary cricketers for India. These include India’s first Test captain, C.K. Nayudu, Ghulam Ahmed, Mohammad Azharuddin, and VVS Laxman. Tilak Varma and Mohammed Siraj also hail from Hyderabad.
