Toyota Urban Cruiser EV
Toyota is soon entering the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market, starting with the Urban Cruiser EV. This will be a mid-size electric SUV that is expected to be launched in the first half of 2026.
The SUV will be based on the Suzuki e-HEARTECT platform, which also underpins the e-Vitara. It will be manufactured at Suzuki’s Gujarat plant. It will be offered with two battery options which will be 49kWh and 61kWh. The larger battery variant is expected to offer a range of approximately 500 kilometers on a single charge.
Toyota Hyryder Facelift
Toyota will launch its popular Urban Cruiser Hyryder in 2026 in a new facelift avatar. The new Hyryder Facelift will add many modern features that will make it more premium. This SUV can now offer Level-2 ADAS Technology which will include facilities like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Auto High Beam.
The same interior will feature a 10.1-inch Touchscreen Infotainment System, Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch Digital Driver Display, and 8-Speaker Infinity Sound System (Dolby Atmos). In addition, Powered Tailgate with Gesture Control and an Underbody CNG Tank may also have an option.
Toyota Land Cruiser FJ
Toyota is going to add a new member to its Legendary Land Cruiser Series which will be Land Cruiser FJ. It will be launched in India in 2028. The SUV will be built at the new Toyota plant located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra) and will be based on IMV platforms with SUVs such as Fortuner, Innova Crysta and Hilux.
Let me tell you that Land Cruiser FJ will get 2.7L 4-Cylinder Petrol Engine which will produce 163hp power and 246Nm Torque. Power will be delivered to all four wheels via a 6-Speed Automatic Gearbox. The same India-Spec Land Cruiser FJ will get 2.7L 4-Cylinder Petrol Engine which will produce 163hp power and 246Nm Torque.
Next-Gen Toyota Fortuner
Toyota’s flagship SUV Fortuner is coming soon in the new generation. Although it has not yet reached the testing stage, some details of its design and engine have been revealed.
The new Fortuner 2026 will use the TNGA-F Modular Platform, which has also been seen in Land Cruiser, Tacoma, and Lexus SUVs. Its design and look will largely resemble the Toyota 4Runner, which will feature an aggressive Front Bumper and muscular body.

Talking about the engine, it will get a new 2.8L Diesel Engine which will have Integrated Starter Generator (Mild Hybrid). In addition, a 2.4L Hybrid Turbo Petrol Engine option can also be given.
