To reduce household expenses, the Central Government of India has introduced multiple schemes. One of the most popular schemes is the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Through this government scheme, people can get a subsidy on an LPG gas cylinder price.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), LPG subsidies are sent directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts. However, there are instances where gas subsidy payments are diverted to someone else’s account, or even after refilling the cylinder, the subsidy remains undelivered for several months. If you have booked a gas cylinder under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and still the subsidy money does not come into your account, then there can be many reasons behind it.
Why the money transfer can get stuck?
- If your bank account is not linked to Aadhaar, then the subsidy money through Direct Benefit Transfer may get stuck.
- Apart from this, people who have not completed the e-KYC process or whose e-KYC is incomplete also do not get the subsidy money.
- Sometimes, due to no transaction from the bank account for a long time, the account may become inactive due to which transactions cannot be done.
